Role purpose

We are currently recruiting for an Estimator to work as part of our commercial teams, reporting to our Midsomer Norton office , with potentially flexibility to work from one of our regional offices also. (Swansea, Maidstone, Bromsgrove. Poole)

With a hybrid working model, you would be willing to commute to the Midsomer Norton HQ three times a week. There will be an expectation for some client and site visits as part of this role.

Role overview

As an Estimator working for Bridges your key purpose is to estimate costs in line with clients' requirements for MCC and control panel related projects, including DfMA assemblies. You will be a key part of the business winning work while maintaining profit margins, supporting the wider internal stakeholder team, and liaising with external stakeholders.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

Analysing drawings, specifications, and documentation to prepare estimates

Attending site visits to undertake surveys

Production of accurate quotations

Communication with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

Dynamic and specialist experience in an engineering/manufacturing/fabrication/production sector

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering or contracting services

Understanding of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor responsibilities under CDM

Experience of working from client specifications

Knowledge of control panels & MCCs (essential)

Full UK driving licence (essential).

Desirable

Engineering qualification (electrical/mechanical) (highly desirable)

Experience working within the water industry.
